it is to be an atheist? I don't really think that would be well received but I am about ready to do it to make a point. This is a one way endeavor on this board because no one tries to evangelize anyone here and quite frankly I find it perplexing that you keep bringing this topic up. You obviously have an agenda outside of just discussing it (whether you realize it or not) because it gets the same answers from both sides every time you do it.

And yet it is Clockwork who is "being dickish". Isn't that interesting? Everyone who has piled on today has made at least dozens of posts that should embarrass themselves more than anything CO has written, and yet he is the one who is "disappointing". Why is that?

We talk about everything else with freedom, downright abandon, and yet if the topic is religion the gloves must be worn. Why? Why is religion sacred? Is it because faith in God is both important to people and indefensible? Hence, it must never be challenged even though we are free to relentlessly challenge everything else?
