Message Replied To ========== My brother-in-law is a border agent. Been stationed in Nogales, Texas and... ...now in upstate NY. They deal with a lot of nasty and very dangerous drug cartels, border bandits and coyotes. They get rocks and bottles thrown at them from the Mexican side of the border. My brother-n-law says they have even captured people of middle-eastern origin trying to get in to the US illegally in the deserts. They have been through a lot of training and do a lot of good to protect the people of the border states and the gen pop of the US. They are just doing their job as they are trained. It disappoints me to see people like yourself applaud these people who are just pricks and don't do any good. Just answer the question and move on, that is all. They don't need further problems from the citizenry whom they are trying to protect. Is there a better method? Probably, what is it? I don't know. (Okay, that's an exaggeration. JimG8R would take first. The fall of nations always begins like this. After forming, a nation first defends itself from foreign invaders. It then starts seeking out wars with "potential" foreign invaders. It then starts to look for threats on its home soil. Individual rights are disregarded or downplayed. There's always some excuse. For example, the TSA legally molests old people and children because there's a one in a billion chance that a terrorist placed an explosive device on them. There are drug cartels. There are middle Easterners. I don't feel the slightest bit of sympathy for someone who voluntarily took a job and is getting paid primarily to harass U.S. citizens. Just because one of a hundred (probably an overestimation) are "bad guys" is just another excuse. Next thing you know we'll have a drone program operating within the U.S. Oh wait.... |
