I didn't know her very long and we weren't really close. She married a co-worker about 7 years ago. We shared a few friends. She was diagnosed with cancer several weeks ago. Initially, they thought it was ovarian and treatable. Turned out it was pancreatic and she was gone in no time.
She was the most kind and generous person you were ever bound to meet. She was a nurse and she was born with the nursing gift. On her death bed she was setting up a scholorship for nursing students at the local college. She never stopped giving. It really sux when people that do so much good in the world and help so many people are taken way too soon.
I really feel for her husband. They met late in life and they seemed so great together. I know what he's gonna go through. My wife passed 6 years ago last week and it will be tough on him. She asked me to talk to him and to help him with her loss. I'll certainly do all I can.
Such a sweet, sweet lady. Admired and loved by so many. Rest in peace, Nurse Donna, you will be greatly missed.
