Are they "out"/self-identified? If not, they weren't include. Are they poor, since the poor tend toward obesity for reasons unrelated to sexual orientation? Are they urban? What kind of work do they do?

Mentally running through a checklist of my lesbian friends and others that I know, the 75% figure has no basis. Sure, some are obese, but some are simply overweight, more are normal weighht, and others do CrossFit, Ragnar Relays, and triathlons. Not obese.

Running through the VS lesbian population, one is overweight (me, who no longer is classified as obese), and the other two that come to mind are physically fit.

In other stereotype-busters, I don't own flannel, have never worn Birkenstocks, and cannot play softball. So there.
