The newspaper hack we all know and love (Mikey Bianchi) has a radio show in Orlando. He was giving away an opportunity to train with Tim Tebow at the D 1 Training facility in Lake Mary on his friday morning show. All I had to do is call in and sing "Tebowing." (a parody of Tom Pettys "Freefalling") What the hell. I called up and made it up on the fly. I won. Fast forward to today. We show up at D 1. She was in the 15 to 18 age group. She also was one of 3 girls. The whole group was about 20 kids. The workout was in different stages. First they warmed up and progressed into more intense training. Tebow was out there the whole time. He introduced himself to each kid and shook hands. Tossed a football at each one as they did drills. Chatted and inspired. Last stage he was qb in a game of 3 on 3. Made sure everyone caught a pass and scored. At the end they all took a knee and he told them all to work hard and set goals. This is what he did and look where he is at. Don't let anyone tell you you can't do it. She gave him a hug and and took a picture with him. She ran off the field and jumped on me. Thanks Dad. What a great day.
