Message Replied To ========== We have an entire nation against us, and my community is viciously attacking the University of Florida and all things Gator. Which isn't all that uncommon because UF seems to be the common enemy of all college sports fans for some reason. But the bandwagon is enormous for FGCU right now. I've heard a lot of crap talked down here this week about the Gators that's for sure.============================== gosh....I wonder if being THE winningest program in America since 1990, racking up 3 national titles and doing so while playing more final ranked opponents than anybody else in America has something to do with it? Maybe its the fact that we are THE mack-daddy school in one of the biggest talent hotbeds in the country, have tons of students, alums, money and media exposure - oh and nobody can even talk academic smack about us because we're very good in that department too. Then again, it could be that our all-around sports program is one of the best in America and we routinely win and challenge for national titles in multiple sports - especially including the biggies that people pay attention to like Football, Basketball and Baseball and this makes us unique since nobody else is anywhere near that good in all of the major sports. All the bitterness and the butt-hurt directed towards us warms my heart. |
