"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do" |

Message Replied To ========== Do you have a better plan than Obamacare? I'm tired of all the crying about Obamacare. Obamacare is designed as the best solution to the unsustainable crisis that we were having in our health insurance industry. Yes, healthy young people are going to have to pay more so that they cover part of the cost of insuring older americans with pre-existing conditions. Remember, some day they may not be healthy and they will then get the benefit of being able to obtain coverage at an affordable rate. Thanks to Obamacare, my insurance for me and my wife, both over 55 with pre-existing conditions, has dropped from $1,800 a month to $864 a month. Ix expect even better rates when the exchanges are implimented. So quit complaining that a 25 year old making over $45,000 a year has to pay $250 a month towards our nation's insurance plan so that his mother with breast cancer can get health care. Or better yet, give me your solution! Yes you UFNY, and those crying about the Califorinia increase, what is your plan and how is it better?============================== I have already written about it here long ago. It took me hours to do it, I am not doing it again because I am too busy trying to provide high quality medical care DESPITE the ACA which is trying to force me to practice substandard healthcare by its incredibly high number of regulations. The only thing you have posted was the high cost of premiums for pre exists conditions. I pay $1600 a month for a family of five and, yes, I have a pre-existing condition. All the ACA is going to do is force me to get a different, lower quality healthcare plan which is going to cost me more. So, I am not buying into your argument that it helps those with pre existing conditions because it is screwing me. Obamacare is not bending the cost curve of healthcare down..it is actually INCREASING it because it is a handout to corporate style medicine and allows hospital based corporations to bill almost twice for the same service as an I dependent professional physician can bill. Obamacare is killing competitive private practice by its very design..I estimate I have maybe one more year before I, too, will be forced to give up my professional status and become an employee who must follow the dictates of his employer instead of working for the best interest of my patients. But if you are interested in what other solutions have been proposed, there are other groups such as Docs for patient care who have made such proposals publically. Be forewarned though..most of the leaders of this group have been audited or found to be "victims of fraud" over the past two years.... |
