My problem is/was that I was angry. Many of my countrymen had died in a heinous attack, and I did not want that to happen again. I wasn't for a political side, but I was for retribution and preventing it again if possible. It was our government leaders who felt much the same way I think and lashed out with war and overreaching policies. Here I am now nearly 12 years after the fact and I see what that anger cost us. Now I want to change it and get all our freedoms back. It has no more to do with parties now than it did then, I am just not as angry anymore.

I know there are some on here who rail against Obama because he is a dem. If he was a rep they would love him. Trying to make everything a dem vs rep issue is just ignoring what the real problem is which is that our federal government is out of control. They have too much power and intrude into our lives too much. That is not a dem or rep issue it is an American Citizen issue. Yes I voted for Bush twice, but that doesn't make me a diehard rep who hates Obama. I became disgusted with Bush, and now I am disgusted with Obama. Not because he is a dem, but because he ran as the anti-bush but yet has been in many cases a clone of Bush. That is a fact and has nothing to do with being a rep or dem.
