Dear Ms. P, I am writing on behalf of American Legion Post 140 in Atlanta to offer sincere condolences on the passing of your son. We were very proud to have Sean as a Legionnaire. He was committed to volunteering at USO events and was a loyal friend to all who knew him. Your son was a good man and patriot who will be always missed. Please contact me without hesitation if we can be of any assistance during your time of bereavement. Warm regards, JimG8R Adjutant American Legion Post 140 Her son was a Major in the USMC and a top MBA student at Georgia Tech. He seemed to have everything going for him. Yet he took his own life last week. Linked below is an article he was featured in a few weeks back. Folks when you meet or know these young war veterans - don't ask them if they have PTSD - but please do reach out to them and be their friend. A lot of them do need some kind of help. |
