I was finally able to pull off the files that I was looking for.

Now the back story. . .My dad passed away in 2006 at the age of 75. For the previous 5 years he had created a web site for his family to enjoy. . .pictures, lots of stories of him growing up as a kid, teenager, parent, etc.  . .hundreds if not thousands of hours of geneology work, countless pictures of my father as a F-4 pilot in Vietnam.. . . .all of this on his PC that crashed a couple months after he died. I retrieved the 10 year old disc drive which was later deemed "Bad" by the Geek Squad at Best Buy.

In the past 36 hours, I was able to extract the files, purchase his old Domain Name and restore his website to the exact condition as it was the day he died.

Now my nephews and nieces that either barely remember their grandfather or were born after he passed away will have a way to connect with him.

Family history is a treasure.
