Message Replied To ========== So is the Zimmerman verdict another black eye for the state of Florida? a co-worker just walked in and made that very broad statement. I have heard it from others, and I also heard that Stevie Wonder will no longer play concerts in Florida, although I think he is more concerned with stand your grounds than just Florida. I cannot understand how the decision of six jurors gives the entire state of Florida a black eye. That is just beyond comprehension to me, regardless of how on perceives the decision of the jury.============================== take solely the facts presented in the case and the criteria for meeting the burden of proof for either charge brought and not reach the decision rendered. Most, including myself, think Z was foolish and that his killing of Trayvon was a tragedy but I don't see how he could have been convicted and don't see why a whole state should receive a black eye. People have gone absolutely nuts over this and abandoned all objectivity and reason. |
