Message Replied To ========== At a moment like this I can't help but wonder..... what would Ronald Reagan do? He'd bomb Assad until he was shaking like a scared girl that he was about to meet Allah, kill some of his closest friends, and not one drop of American blood would be spilled in the process. Come to think of it... that is exactly what Obama wants to do.
It's pretty freaking hilarious to me the Republican anti-Obama wing's stance on this. They worship Reagan. Ten years ago the suspicion of chemical weapons holdings was sufficient to launch a full scale invasion. Today the definite use of chemical weapons is something that the US has no right or place to concern ourselves with.
I lean to the belief that we should do what Reagan and Obama would do. March 16th 1988 . . . he sat by while Saddamn used chemical weapons on the Kurds as part of the war against Iran. Since we do not like Iran, and he was our buddy at the time, we did nothing. So continues our morally ambiguous response to these things. See it ain't really about the gas attack . . . it's about Iran being on the other side of the gas attack. |
