"I figured it was because it was the 2nd half of the liberal presidency . . . " |

Message Replied To ========== FlVol asked me the other day why more lib'ruls don't post here anymore I'd like to address that question. I like a forum where the issues of the day are intelligently discussed. This is no longer a place for that. Regurgitated talking points from FoxNews and ad hominem attacks are the order of the day. Simply put, I have no interest in interacting with the majority of the posters that post here now. Now, let me clarify something. I have no doubt that all the posters in this forum are good fathers, husbands, sons, daughters, mothers, daughters, wives etc. So it's irrelevant to me when someone tells me that they are a good parent, spouse, easy going guy or whatever. I only refer to people's persona here. So don't tell me that you have a black friend and therefore you aren't a racist, I don't care, if you make a a post that I think is racist, I will tell you so. It doesn't necessarily mean that I think you are a racist, I'm merely referring to that post. If I call you stupid, it's because all I see out of you is insults and no insight. Now I haven't posted here much lately but I have been lurking. I have been impressed with the interactions between Wayne and Bammer lately on the subject of NSA and Syria. Now, both Bammer and Wayne will tell you that I'm a piece of #badword# with no redeeeming social value and that's fine but I'm still giving them props for making me want to come back and post here. Because I see both of their points and agree with them to a degree. They've made me examine these issues and state my opinion. That wasn't their point but anyway.
I'm gonna leave it there for now. just like a lot of the pubs left after Bush part II. And they all said it was because of the libs quoting talking points and being stupid. Seems like the ebb and flow of the election cycle to me. Can't wait till I can leave in the 2nd half of a libertarian Presidency. |
