"I appreciate FOOTBALL, yet I don't care for the non-wrapping up"

Message Replied To ==========

no. Anybody who appreciates FOOTBALL should find it a travesty

it amounts to a "hitting too hard" penalty.  Under this rule, many of the greatest plays in Gator history would have been penalties.  Jarvis Williams on Melvin Bratton?  Penalty.  Lawrence Wright on Joey Kent?  Penalty.  Earl Everett's iconic sack of Troy Smith after losing his helmet?  Penalty.

Its just pathetic what they are doing to pussify a once proud game.

leaving your feet, helmet to helmet with arms at your side variety of "tackling".  It's not how we were taught to tackle when we played and it's a showboat variation of FOOTBALL that I don't care for.  Stick your facemask in the the guys chest, wrap him up, and tackle properly.  It's not macho football to lead with the crown of your helmet to another guy's head.
