"Wow! Some here can't suffer wins gracefully..." |
|
Sorry, we didn't win the way you think we should. I remember 0-10-1. I will take the wins. I continue to like Murphy's poise. There will be games later that will test that poise much more than this one did. While I would also like to see a few more throws I thought the game plan tonight was perfect for the situation. It was NOT bad coaching. I think next week the team will need to throw more because I think Arkansas will be able to slow the run game down a bit. I would not expect to see much deep passing. I think the plan will be to get the ball out of Murphy's hands as quickly as possible on pass plays to try and avoid the big hit. ICBW but I do not remember seeing the ball fumbled. That was a great, legal, hit by Gorman. His facemask was forward and he did not lead with the crown of the helmet. His facemask hit the receivers shoulder pads and then slid up as the receiver came down from the jump he made. Gorman also wrapped up which I think is a big key to avoid the targeting penalty when it is close. The way Stinchcomb harped on this was astounding in it's stupidness but he did go to uga. |

-- Starred by: Danda Beachmaster peabody hall gatorvette1012 trash -- Having a clear faith, based on the creed of the church, is often labeled today as a fundamentalism. We are moving towards a dictatorship of relativism, which does not recognize anything as definitive and has as its highest value one's own ego and one 's own desires.-Pope Benedict XVI THE YOUNG DEAD SOLDIERS DO NOT SPEAK Nevertheless they are heard in the still houses: who has not heard them? They have a silence that speaks for them at night and when the clock counts. They say, We were young. We have died. Remember us. They say, We have done what we could but until it is finished it is not done. They say, We have given our lives but until it is finished no one can know what our lives gave. They say, Our deaths are not ours: they are yours: they will mean what you make them. They say, Whether our lives and our deaths were for peace and a new hope or for nothing we cannot say: it is you who must say this. They say, We leave you our deaths: give them their meaning: given them an end to the war and a true peace: give them a victory that ends the war and a peace afterwards: give them their meaning. We were young, they say. We have died. Remember us. |
