Message Replied To ========== Boehner has created the environment in which he can't save face. But now it's Obama's job to save him? Because Boehner has earned so much good will? Boehner has allowed a faction of his party to dictate to him. IMO, he is the one who is not leading. BBG ==============================he is an opportunist politician, like 90% of the people up there. But a true leader understands his opponents motivations and tries to create scenarios where he can get what he wants from them. Clinton was an expert at this, as was Reagan. As was Tipp Oneill. Obama, I think due to his lack of experience, does not seem to have that ability. It is easy to get like minded individuals to follow you. A true leader and a good President gets his opposition on board as well. I do not think Boehner is a good leader..but this is not a zero sum game either. Obama has a responsibility to the US. Right now, he only represents the political left in this country. He has chosen throughout his Presidency to NOT be President to the other half of the country. |
