Message Replied To ========== Every two bit criminal in this country is entitled . . . to a properly trained lawyer to represent him/her in court. Those that cannot afford a lawyer are provided one by the government. This does not make us lawyers slaves. Medical care is not any different.============================== one derives from the constitutional duty to provide for a fair trial . . . a trial because the accused has been brought before a jury not of his own free will . . . but by the government. His liberty is in question at the hands of government.
Such is not the case for medical care. The government is not imposing on the individual because he has disease. Another person is not imposing on them. Chance or in some cases self-inducement have brought the individual to this state. In those cases where his state is brought upon by injury from another party they are responsible for the care.
I am responsible for providing a fair trial as is everyone in this country. I am NOT responsible for treating fat jimmy's diabetes. |
