Message Replied To ========== The right coach can get a 5th string QB( Shane Mathews) to make SEC POY and a 3rd string QB (Cam Newton) to win the Heisman Trophy.============================== Not his inherited talent. That genius Gene Chizik turned a throw away, has been, no talent into a Heisman winner and # 1 draft choice. (He coached him to be 6' 5" and to have sprinter speed and a rocket arm -- which was a good decision as it turned out. If he had coached him to be 5' 9" and slow and unable to throw he would not have been as good.)
I think UF should churn the coaching staff every 2 years until you find your genius coach. In fact I bet FSU and UGA and UT will help fund the effort.
