success over an extended period of time, but I do not agree that we were always weaklings prior to his arrival. I point to the 84 and 85 teams. The 84 team was an awesome bunch after it got into gear. With the Great Wall and an NFL backfield, it won the national championship according to several national ranking polls. I watch my 84 films often and am amazed at the talent we had and how we used it to steam roll teams.
I could also mention several of the Ray Graves teams, especially 1960. Even Doug Dickey had some teams that reached the very top level of the SEC. He just could not win that one game that would have made him a hero. And yes I was at the forth and dumb game against Georgia in Jax.
I was also at the Sugar bowl game against Nebraska when the bad call cost Dickey a major victory.
I have the greatest confidence that if we continue to support Zook and his recruiting efforts for another year or two, we will be a dominant force in the SEC and nation.
