This year, however, is a decidedly different feeling.  Chumps.  Both of us.  At least that's been the result of the injuries we've had to deal with this year.  We were both pretty good earlier this year.  Not now. 

And it's created a game sorely lacking in excitement, at least the pregame type.  But it's still us versus ya'll.  Gators and Dawgs.  You have that Latin thing going on (or whatever the hell that Uga delenda stuff is).  We just woof atcha.  So sue us.

But since my parents first brought me to the Gator Bowl in 1969, I've regarded the game in Jacksonville as the highlight of the season.  We want to beat the you-know-what out of you, and we know the feeling is mutual.  As it should be.  And thankfully, we're making it a rivalry game again - you know how it feels when the shoe has been on the other foot.

May you have a good time, let there be no injuries (Lord knows neither of us can afford to lose any more!), and may everyone travel safe to and from.
