Three straight years with losses to Georgia. Never, ever, thought I would hear that again.
Three straight losses in SEC play. The new SEC teams are faring better than the legacy powerhouses.
Three straight years with Offenses ranked over 100th in the Nation. Staggering, considering that this is the 'Sleeping Giant' that woke up under Spurrier. It seems we have been spanked and put to bed, once again. Dave Hart must be smiling somewhere.
There is no realistic excuse for this.
I could buy the heart and hustle routine, if the team came out with what looked like some level of preparation and desire to win.
I could buy the 'played hard and had energy' routine if the team didn't showboat, make stupid penalties and personal fouls, that killed drives, and numb the mind.
I could buy 'Its correctable' if there was any semblance of things changing, getting corrected, and getting better.
Call it negative, sarcastic, whatever. High expectations, and quality performance, are what is expected at the University of Florida, and when under performing, it is a natural act to review, inspect, criticize, and identify and implement potential changes to improve the performance. There doesn't seem to be any significant changes, or performance improvement taking place, so the review becomes more pointed and direct.
We all take a lot of pride in the University of Florida, and this product does not represent the standard of excellence that this school is known for. There are a lot of really smart people who go to this school, teach and work at this school, and are alumni of this school, who are embarrassed by how this team performs on the field, both athletically, and personally.
