"This sums up my thoughts, as well. It's not just a problem on offense any more."

I can't defend him any more after the way the team has

crapped the bed the last two weeks. They have regressed, badly, and while it's not all his fault, he doesn't appear to have the tool necessary to turn this around and quickly.==============================

In his press conference, Coach seemed to be defending the defense while putting the majority of the blame on the offense. While there is truth to this, the defense didn't really distinguish itself, giving up a couple of key drives when the game was still in reach, creating no turnovers, not rising up to make stops when put into bad situations by the offense. This has happened all season. WM's painting of this picture as an offensive problem is largely true, but it also seems like he's trying to build a case that replacing the OC will turn things around.

Two weeks ago, I thought the season -- and our coach -- was still salvageable. We had a shot against Georgia and we should never lose to Vandy. Win those two games and I believe WM gets another year. Instead, we'll now likely finish with six losses in our last seven games.  At this point, a loss to Ga Southern would not surprise me.

I've seen nothing from this team in the last two games that would show me our coaching staff knows how to put together a competent offensive game plan capable of using the talent on hand.  I'm also concerned that the talent we have -- even accounting for the numerous injuries -- is simply not capable of competing in the SEC. This falls directly on Muschamp's head -- he is responsible for building a balanced roster able to withstand some key injuries and still win games.

Hiring the right OC might turn things around. But if that happens, would it mean any long-term success for UF? I don't think so. That coach would get all the credit, and get snatched up by another program as HC within a couple seasons. That puts us back at square one, hoping we hire another good offensive coach. What we need is a coach who can build a program for the long-term, not someone trying to save his job.
