You are correct that many in our fan base do not comport themselves in a manner which makes us all happy.  Perhaps they did at one time, or perhaps only a bit better than today.  But please do not make the mistake of viewing the situation through a lens which fails to recognize the fact that the University of Florida, the UAA, and the football program no longer operates as if it is 1960, either.  At one time, fans were allowed on the field after games.  At one time, if a decades-long season ticket holder requested a couple of tickets to a bowl game, they were not told, "Sorry, you don't have enough booster points.  The tickets are going to the new Bull Gators".  At one time, coaches and athletic directors didn't cash paychecks with 6 zeros on the end.  At one time, fans were not treated primarily as if they were an ATM from which the UAA could extract ever larger amounts. 

The point being that I may not like somebody booing or leaving games early, but they do so in response to what they see as piss-poor coaching which is failing miserably to correct penalties, cannot instill discipline, and increasingly is unable to even be competitive in football games.  If it was simply about the old college try and doing one's best for the Orange & Blue, Mssrs. Foley and Muschamp probably wouldn't be in Gainesville.  They are paid damned well to do a job, in addition to being leaders and representatives of our school.  I don't condone boorish behavior, but neither do I condone continued ineptitude to the tune of millions of dollars.  This is not your daddy's football program.  Heck, it isn't close to what I grew up on or what it was when I attended UF.  Blame the fans if you desire, but if you're honest, you at least put the whole situation in some context.
