I'm no Hillary, so I'll refrain from blaming a "vast right wing conspiracy." Lefties enjoy promulgating stories tearing JFK down as well.

But it strikes me since the early 80s that there has been a constant barrage of "revalations" about JFK in an effort to tear the man down after his death.

So fuggin what if he effed Marilyn Monroe. The Chicago stuff. The mob stuff. The Addison's. The alleged addiction to pain killers.

The bottom line is JFK served his country in combat in WW2 and was wounded. He deftly avoided a nuclear war in October 1962. He got on board (eventually) with the Civil Rights movement. His single minded determination with respect to the space program got us to the moon in 1969 (with computer equipment less sophisticated than my iPhone 4).

In short, I think JFK was a remarkable man. November 22, 1963 is one of the darkest days in our country's history.
