"My observations"

Let's start with the good:

1. We played pretty well, although I didn't see the game due to work. However, the fact that we kept it close despite our personnel issues is encouraging. But South Carolina isn't FSU, so more will be needed in two weeks.

2. Miami lost.

3. Georgia lost and the way they lost.

Now with the bad:

4. First, I understand why we should support this team and it's mostly for the players. I get that. But the support should also come from the coaching. They need to put the players in the best chance to succeed. Two of three years, they haven't. You can argue how much of an effect Meyer had on 2011, but this year is all Muschamp. Even with the injury situation, we should not be looking at our first losing season since before I was born, heck, before my parents were married.

To put the players in the best position to succeed, you need to run a better offense. First reason, other teams and the NFL are implementing such offenses to take advantage of the rules favoring the offense. Second, to make opposing defenses honest. The current offensive philosophy can only work if we have a minimum of injuries (see last year). If we get smacked with the injury bug, look at this year. Now, we probably would've still struggled a bit with a more threatening offense, but unfortunately we don't know for sure.

The current offense can't overcome bad playcalling or penalties or turnovers. With better offenses, there is the possibilities those things are only slight obstacles. With this offense, they're killers.

5. I realize I'm reiterating what has been said with #4, but I'm about to really step on some toes. I find it disturbing that others are being attacked for stating the above and calling for necessary changes. "Jackwagon," and obnoxious? Come on. What's next? "You're not a real Gator for refusing to support Muschamp." That kind of rhetoric sickens me and pisses me off. Fortunately, I have a couple of suggestions: 1) put the poster you don't want to read on Ignore. There is that function. 2) If you don't want to read specific posts, just don't read them. But if we're expected to support the team, have the courtesy of not engaging in personal attacks. I realize this is a frustrating season, but we have the right to our opinions, even if it's not popular or they're repetitive.
