and wouldn't be for several years.  All the JFK crap is over the top.   It was 50 freaking years ago - get over it.  Did people make such a big deal about Garfield's assassination in the 1930's or McKinley's around 150?  No. 

it had. Information technology was in its infancy...but, the events we lived and saw were different than what people had experienced before. Just as Vietnam so vividly brought war, death, destruction and terror into everyone's home...live or on tape...and changed people for the rest of their lives.

It is a fact. I and many other people would not be who they are today without the things that folks before us just weren't exposed to (or at least only with hands-off exposure).
