I'll start with the most cliche--we have nowhere to go but up. Bleck, right?

Losing again has made me feel a bit nostalgic. I've been thinking back to my undergrad years when simply being a gator and going to games was fun, win or lose. Call me crazy, but I'm enjoying the trip back in time. I didn't realize how much I had lost sight of. Perspective is good.

It will take a while to pull back up. Maybe this will give new gators a chance to experience ground up winning. It's exciting. More importantly, they will take less for granted.

College football has changed and continues to change, and not all for the better. Maybe this will better position us to change with it as the ground shifts below us. One of the many things I love about UF is it's adaptability. We make changes. We are cutting edge. I have no reason to believe the same will not continue with our FB program.

Yea, it's not fun to be sporting a bad team, but I know I have absolutely no control over it. I also believe that the sport itself at the college level has needed to change for a long time, UF included. I think some interesting times lie ahead. I plan to enjoy the ride.
