"some time ago, Mud and others suggested that since decision to retain Mus " |

was made that it wasn't really productive or for that matter even emotionally helpful to each other to continue to criticize him. I posited that if we lost the rest of the games, decisions could be undone, could be but apparently Foley and maybe Machen are not going to let the facts get in the way of opinion.
I, for the first time in my memory watched the replay of a Gator loss, to me it wasnt a replay as I hadn't seen the original.
What I saw was dissapointing, we had some breaks but couldnt make points out of them, our offense was per usual, unimaginative and devoid of risk taking, except the risk of not moving the ball. What was more telling was the D, it may or may not have been coached to stop the wishbone but the players continually missed their assignments, they didn't 'stay home'. Halftime did not seem to correct this problem which leads me to believe coaching at least contributed to the failure.
I'm not going to say much more about Muschamp and company, I think most Gator fans feel the same way, that at least for now he's a failure, especially on the offensive side but for now it is what it is and whining about him serves little purpose and for me, now, little emotional satisfaction. I expect a train wreck on Saturday but I think I may look on more with bemusement than horror, which quite frankly terrifies me. |
