For those who know me on FaceBook, this is a repost from last night, but I wanted to share here

Life can be unbearably funny. I was invited to spend Thanksgiving in Orlando with my daughter and her mom in the house I used to call my own. After a very nice dinner with all the grandparents, we sat down to play The Game of Life. Not 5 minutes into the game, I landed on the square calling for me to Get Married. Awkward. The next spin required my daughter, sitting next to her mother, to give me a wedding present, which turned out to be $5000. More awkward. And then, my former wife was required to spin to determine her wedding present to me. What? Awkward X2. As we all waited with bated breath at the situation, my former wife spun the dial and then immediately raised her arms in victory as she landed on 1, meaning she gives me nothing for a wedding present. Our daughter was in hysterics at the irony of all of this. We all laughed for about 10 minutes at that and laughed harder when our daughter, now 12 years old, landed on the square calling for her to be presented with Twin Baby Girls. Lol. 5 years ago when we divorced, I would have said the prospects for an evening like this would be zero. Life is Good.
