Foley is CLEARLY the best AD in the country.

AD involves way more than just football.

UF is the flagship school in a very big destination state and it is one of the wealthiest programs in America.  It is not hard to attract top coaches and players in non revenue sports if you're willing and able to spend more money on salaries and facilities.  Its not exactly a fair fight to compare UF to say the Mississippi schools or Indiana or Baylor.  UF has them so massively outgunned it isn't even funny. 

Give him credit for Billy Donovan.  That was an excellent hire.  Otherwise?  I tend like most to think Meyer was Bernie Machen's guy and that Foley's hires for football have been Zook and Muschamp both of which look like disasters.  Some will not like hearing this but football is so much more important than every other sport combined (just look at the money) that no, you are not a particularly good AD if you are not particularly good at spotting and hiring top football coaches.  Football pays for everything else.
