Getting ready for a trial so catching up late on the Winston developments...
Here's what seems undisputed...
Last December an 18 year old man got hammered and hammered (after someone else did apparently) another hammered 18 year old woman.
A crime? No. Immoral? Let those without sin cast the first stone...
But in 10 days said same man will get a trophy and the sports media will pontificate about this man'a
"Courage" and "heroism" and "leadership." All because he can play a game.
Meanwhile, thousands of 19 year olds do really heroic things every day and don't get noticed for it, or trophies for it or rich from it.
Back to the judgment thing, I won't judge "Famous Jameis", but I'll say this...how would any of us feel if our almost 19 year old sons fcuked some drunk woman in front of his roommates. And apparently "second" after someone else hit it. And the day before his girlfriend was coming from out of town to visit. Would we be proud? I wouldn't. And I damn sure wouldn't give him a trophy or hold him out as some hero because he knows how to throw a football....
But what do I know...
