Now, Kerwin was and is a great Gator...but....

As far as I know, he is not on anyone's radar and never has been. He's at JU for pete's sake and, I guess, nobody is beating down his door and hasn't for a considerable time.

Seems to me that Kerwin would be a huge gamble and a huge shot in the dark compared to Roper.

All of the arguments by others above...not on the radar....weak conference....relative unknown would certainly apply to Kerwin. Probably moreso.

Roper has many years in the SEC with succesful offenses and has helped develop some very good QB's. Yes, almost all of that was with Cut....but, the resume is a heck of a lot better than Kerwin's for taking over at a place like UF. Particularly now where it has to work and work soon.
