If Muschamp had been only 1 or 2 years I could understand it. But we turn presidents of the US out of office after 4 years if they don't perform.

We failed to have a great recruiting year, we lost 8 games last year including to a non BCS team, we lost to Georgia again.

I just do not understand the attitude of so many Gators to accept 8 win seasons and a

average recruiting as a standard to retain a coach. I voted to retain Muschamp one more year. But I really expected him to have a great recruiting year with the Pitch of having immediate playing time. But he ended up even farther behind the top people in the conference.

Have we really regressed to the pre SOS years where excuses and wait to next year were the major Florida Fight songs. I really thought us old geezers had brought about a cultural change to the attitude of FL fans. But when I read all the post I am terribly afraid we are back to accepting mediocrity as the standard.

If so I am glad I will not live long enough to suffer much longer.
