Message Replied To ========== That analysis may very well be right. . . And if so, we will replace the mandate with tax revenues just as we do with medicare. We cannot return to a system where those with pre-existing conditions are uninsurable.============================== we could have been up front about it, raised taxes, increased Medicaid, and essentially left everyone else alone. No horror stories, no disrupted lives, no rationing of healthcare to the degree it is coming, no effective forcing physicians out of private practice, no putting the IRS in a position to intrude further on the lives of Americans, no consolidation of healthcare control under appointed officials at HHS (including IPAB, etc.), and one less contentious issue for BOTH major political parties in Washington to use as a weapon or excuse in avoiding compromise in doing the people's business |
