" An aribitrary number which was put out as a goal by the administration, AND" |

Message Replied To ========== Are you dissapointed the ACA met its enrollment projections? I get the feeling most of you would still like to see the ACA fail and are disappointed that it is succeeding. It is hard to understand this reasoning. Clearly our country will be in a better position if the act succeeds, even though not perfect. Why would anyone hope for failure at this point?============================== given the administration's inability or refusal to offer any kind of public breakdown of ITS numbers, it tells us almost nothing ........ even if we accept the administration's numbers to be accurate ........ something difficult for a large swath of America to do given the Obama's administration's history of inaccuracies or lies wrt Obamacare so far. How many of these are young healthy people who can help support the economic assumptions which underpin the case for the ACA being able to work in the first place? How many have paid a single premium? How many are those who had lost existing health insurance policies? How many are Medicaid clients? How many are people who were previously uninsured? Multiple projections show that millions of Americans are likely to REMAIN without health insurance even AFTER Obamacare is more fully implemented ....... which is to say it currently is NOT fully implemented as a result of (what are widely considered to be) unconstitutional, unilateral acts by this administration to delay, ignore, or change the implementation of the LAW. Funny how some Obamacare supporters are silent on how the President and his administration have acted in what is widely considered to be an unconstitutional manner by failing to go to Congress to alter what they themselves have touted to be the "law of the land", duly passed by the Congress and vetted by the Supreme Court. So, no, that a disingenuous administration claims to have met ITS number projections, and fails to offer any data for further analysis, does not bother me in the least ....... especially when I am focused on the much more important aspects of what the ACA is likely to do to America rather than for America. |
