Message Replied To ========== Taxes will continue to rise.... The nation's debt and deficit levels have become dangerously high and must be paid. The GOPs rigid belief that taxes aren't necessary and must be cut at every opportunity is the primary reason for this situation. That is just as wacko as anything. ============================== reducing the debt. Is that actually happening? I know the sequester has reduced some of the spend, but is it a long term strategy or a band aid? If I knew with some degree of certainty that the tax increase in 2013 (and thereafter_ would lower the deficit and the burden on my kis and yet to be born grandkids, then I would not have a beef. But I get the sense that we are looking at a scenario of "increase revenue, increase spend." That's not acceptable. |
