were given preferential treatment and allowed to do whatever the #badword# they wanted while urbs blathered on and on about doing things the right way and creating an environment that was really less about football and more about  producing great young men - you know, all that "1% of 1%" bullspit. Nobody has ever said what urbie the used car salesmen did at UF wasn't successful on the field (for a while) - clearly that is not the case.  I think history will show, however, that this "approach" is not easily sustained, and has negative ramifications for individuals and programs.  Eventually there's a failure of leadership, and the whole thing breaks down (recruiting, player.staff cohesion, etc).  That's precisely what we saw w/ urbie, IMO.   We've actually had a really good, real life side by side comparison of how to consistently succeed the right way over time (Donovan), and how not to (Urbs).
