You could not be more wrong. Last night I sat in our family room with my son and my daughter watching the game against Alabama. Both of my kids have been fully indoctrinated in the ways of the Gator as you know, but my son is the one who always watches anything sports or UF. My five- year old daughter on the other hand usually cheers for the Gators to make me happy but loses interest during games, only getting excited when they show the cheerleaders. Last night though, she saw women actually playing in the orange and blue. She was so excited and couldn't take her eyes off the television, and cheered the Gators on with incredible passion. It was great for her to see. My daughter now understands she too can be a Gator athlete if she wants, and that matters more than any amount of money any sport brings in. She and I have another Daddy-daughter night set for tonight and I couldn't be more excited.
