"As a Christian, here is my response." |

Message Replied To ========== What about women who have... medical need for birth control? I've dated several who had endometriosis and were prescribed birth control to control for terrible pain and to protect their reproductive systems from the disease. I guess my question is more from the "Christian" perspective rather than the legal one. Every single woman who I dated with this disease was a Catholic, one even was given her priest's blessing before filling her prescription. Again, these women had diseases that were treated with birth control. Seems to me that this was a victory for men who like to control women's bodies, yet don't know how they work. Also, why do these "Christians" fight against pregnancy prevention so hard...AND fight against providing for the offspring after birth? You call yourself a "Christian" "conservative"...isn't this pill better than abortion? And isn't better than people who should not have children (for whatever reason) having children? Wouldn't preventing unwanted pregnancies help cut into welfare spending? Help prevent child neglect, abuse? Maybe even cut into our crime rate? The good thing about this ruling is that now I can turn my wife against Hobby Lobby. I loath that store, but she likes it. She's not a liberal, she's a woman who doesn't like it when men hold stupid opinions and try to force those opinions on her. So this works out for me quite well. ==============================
