"And all of those open doors are perfectly fine." |
|
Message Replied To ========== Ginsberg's dissent is worth a read. SCOTUS opened a huge door today Next challenge will be from a closed corp owned by a Scientologist that doesn't want to pay for antidepressant prescriptions or a closed corporation that doesn't think it should be forced to cover vaccinations for their employees' children. And the Court system will be in in the business of deciding which religious objections to the ACA should be sustained and which ones should be overruled. A can of worms was opened today. if the Hobby Lobby case didn't involve contraception/abortion, I think a great many people praising this decision today would see things much more clearly.============================== Companies should have the choice as to what benefits they cover and what they don't. Employees then have the choice as to what jobs they take and what they don't. If they offer lousy benefits, they get lousy employees, then they either fail or have to offer better benefits to stay alive. All of that can and should be accomplished without the govt looking over their shoulder at every step of the way. |
