So first the brag... Both daughters started new jobs yesterday. Blessed that both have good situations and their UF degrees have served them well.Anyway...

My STEM kid had a typical first day but had to jump right on a project traveling when she hasnt been to her new office yet.. No biggie For her and things wen well.

Her sister started a new gig, a nice position at a small country's embassy in DC. As you would expect she wanted to be there timely but not overly early. When she arrived and came into the front doors she was overwhelmed to see the entire embassy staff lined along both sides. She of course gracefully was introduced to each person and was blown away that everyone was there. When she reached the end of meeting everyone she stood  wondering who would bring her to the next thing after being fetted by the receiving line reception. Instead, to her surprise the entire staff  sung that country's national anthem and then dispersed. Still amazed by it all her bubble was burst when she learned that the line up wasn't for her but was something the staff does at the beginning of every work day..they lineup and sing their national anthem.

it will, however forever be a memorable  first day event for Miss P!
