Do you guys consider this a hot seat year for Muschamp? If so what

does he have to do to get off the hot seat? Is he afforded more time regardless or another year like last year and Foley is looking for a new guy? How many years left on contract and any other info you think is pertinent?

I saw some discussion on a UT board and most (small sample size) seemed to think he might be out the door unless you have a good year. Just wanted to get your thoughts.

Just for sake of my POV I think the jury is still out on Butch and his coaching ability vs SEC competition. I think he is a great recruiter without a doubt which will help a lot. IMHO Muschamps biggest issue is team discipline that suffers because of his uh..... explosive personality.

==============================

This next season for Muschamp won't be evaluated by our AD solely on wins and losses.  The context of the record, including opponent and injuries, etc., will be important.

Let's assume our team and QB stay relatively healthy this season and we lose @Bama, to ugaly in Jax, @f$u, and maybe to LSU at home by a combined 20 points, and the offense is functional (we rank in the top 40 in college football).  Recruiting is going extremely well.  In this scenario, Muschamp stays and is applauded by our AD, and it would be senseless to get rid of him after giving him all this OJT.

If we lose to the same four teams by 80 points, all else the same, then Muschamp is obviously under much more serious fire.

If the team is decimated by injuries again, then it will hard to know what happens to Muschamp.

Sure, it would be ideal to get 10 wins, which would obviously include at least three over big rivals (we play LSU, S Car, Bama, ugaly, f$U -- all of which might be top 10 teams).  We'd all be happy about going the right direction, and we'd probably be undefeated at home.  That's a good, solid Gator year.  However, Muschamp doesn't need to rebound all the way to this in one year.  Our AD loves consistency when there's light at the end of the tunnel (i.e., not Zook).
