Do you guys consider this a hot seat year for Muschamp? If so what

does he have to do to get off the hot seat? Is he afforded more time regardless or another year like last year and Foley is looking for a new guy? How many years left on contract and any other info you think is pertinent?

I saw some discussion on a UT board and most (small sample size) seemed to think he might be out the door unless you have a good year. Just wanted to get your thoughts.

Just for sake of my POV I think the jury is still out on Butch and his coaching ability vs SEC competition. I think he is a great recruiter without a doubt which will help a lot. IMHO Muschamps biggest issue is team discipline that suffers because of his uh..... explosive personality.

==============================

I don't think you're getting a fair representation when you ask on a board.

Placing the job security on whether he beats a specific team is laughable IMO, but many on here seem to think if we don't beat UGA he loses his job. You have opinionated talkers here with fanatical pride about their team, so you're going to get that kind of response. Foley has his priorities and criteria and much of that has to do with tickets sales and marketing money, which doesn't equate to whether we beat UGA. I'm pretty sure beating UGA isn't on Foley's criteria list.

Coach has to rebuild excitement into the program. That's pretty much most or even all of it. Winning does that. Exciting team play does that. Avoiding scandals does that. Avoiding personality clashing isolation does that. Building a positive reputation does that. Beat the teams you're supposed to beat, and win a few more -- rivalry wins count extra, but are still just part of the equation and we have more than one rivalry.

We are supposed to beat six teams this year. We need to win two other games as well in order to build confidence that breeds momentum of excitement. Winning more than that sends a strong message. Additionally, running a more entertaining style of play, which appears to be planned, builds excitement.
