Foley showed him an amazing amount of respect and gratitude and convinced him to come back. He mailed it in the following season. Left saying he was physically not up to the task and wanted to be with his kids. A year later he took a job at another place and went hard after kids we were recruiting (after saying he wouldn't). We saw him as the liar he had probably always been (but ignored because he was winning for us). Do we appreciate the MNCs? Absolutely. Do we respect the way he left and how he has handled himself since? No #badword#ing way. I don't feel jilted. I feel like he tarnished his own legacy through his own actions. |
