aspects of this board is when someone will post a genuine 'help/info wanted' type post, only to be met with mostly sarcastic/worthless/formletter/inside joke/running joke replies.

Look, i GET IT.....i'm a 'funny guy' myself and there's no one who loves a quick joke more than me, but i just think that it is this board at its absolute worst when we willingly and intentionally thumb our noses at our fellow members' genuine questions in favor of cheap, and IMO, worthless and feeble, attempts, at humor.  It is frustrating, time-wasting and futile at best, for the poster....and you don't want to hear me describe what it is at its worst.

Whether you like, or appreciate, it or not, this has long ago become a community. And i love how we - ON OCCASION - treat each other that way.  It is when we don't that i literally shake my head and wish we could be better.  Sorry for the rant.....been a very, very, very, very long time coming.
