One other intriguing thing he said is that a lot of times when players get in trouble it is the best thing for them. It often causes them to grow up quite a bit. Most of us got to make our youthful mistakes out of the public eye. Big life lessons are often taught. It's the same deal for his players. Many of his players became better people as a result of the off the court mistakes that we initially hated hearing about. It still sucks to read about an arrest or whatever. What he said made a lot of sense however. Good food for thought for next time.
