Message Replied To ========== You will have to explain that one. Legal fees and court battles are expensive. The manufacturers seem to be fighting for their right to continue to exist. At the expense of profits. I don't think profits are evil though. ============================== Companies that make products that have societal impact, however, are responsible for that impact. And it's well within governmental rights to create laws that affect that impact. Chemical companies that pollute. Cigarette companies. Drug companies. Car companies. And gun companies. The NRA used to be focused on sportsfolk and teaching responsible gun ownership. Then they and guncos discovered that if they combine forces and take the hardest line against any sort of laws affecting gun impact, then stoke the fears of their membership about such laws, they could sell a LOT more guns. And the NRA could get a LOT more power and a LOT more donations from their membership and the guncos. Like any other organization or company that puts revenue first, second, and third, they started making bad decisions and losing sight of their stated mission.
