Chemo missed a chance to see a game with his whole family. Another couple who are good friends of ours drove up from Vero with their daughters for their first family game; even waited it out through 2 delays. For a lot of folks it's quite a stretch to pay for a trip like that. 

I got to see my son and take him (and half of last years class from John Carroll and Vero High) out to lunch. I tailgated with the people I used to come up to the Gator Basketball camp as we all realized that our entire Rec league team (except one) are now freshmen at UF.

Then , I got to meet my son's new girlfriend as we all sought shelter in his dorm room in Murphy..ironically it is one floor below MY room there 30 years ago!

As I looked at the field last night as they kicked off, I was worried about injuries on that slick playing field . So, disappointed? Yes, I am. But I still had a good time and I would rather be disappointed then have a Gator or Vandal get hurt .
