It's about the relationship Coach Muschamp has with those players. He mentioned in his press conference that there were certain things behind the scenes that the players had to do in order to serve their punishment. He said the players did all those things. Extending the suspension another week would not be fair to them in that the cancellation was out of their control. If they did tasks A, B, C -- whatever it was that they had to do to get back in good graces -- and didnt' get to dress out Saturday -- which if you've never been in a locker room, is a very big deal, even though the game was ultimately cancelled -- it sounds like Muschamp decided these guys had done everything asked of them, and it was not fair to extend their punishment due to an act of God. I'm more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this situation.
