It is so tempting to rush to judgment when it is the "other guy" who appears to slip. And when people do they rarely rarely challenge themselves as to whether they are misinterpreting what happened. Once they have an unpleasant interpretation of what their rival did they become reluctant to accept the much more benign truth.

Which is what we have here.

Y''all have been so quick to judge Jameis that you haven't stopped to consider what he really meant and was trying to accomplish when he gave his speech in the school cafeteria. I ask you to stop now and consider his words carefully. Why those particular words?

If you have done as I asked above, it should now be clear to you that Jameis is leading a campaign against unsafe anal sex. He is pleading with his fellow students and America herself that there are safer options. As a student at FSU, Jameis has read the health studies linking anal sex to female incontinence and realized that he has an obligation to speak out. His message is simple but important: Those who choose to partake in sexual intercourse, even if the woman does not choose, should do so in a manner that protects the health of the woman.

I may not have stated this message as elegantly as Jameis Winston did, but that is the core lesson. And a powerful lesson it is. Female incontinence is a serious problem, and due to his scholarship, compassion and courage, Jameis is speaking out to change America for the better.

And yet here you condemn him. Shame on you Virtual Swamp.

Probably even now many of you are scrambling to find fault even though you now have the true picture of the Jameis Winston Campaign For America. "What about the gays?" you say. And "Jameis' advocacy of only the vagina as the proper portal proves he is homophobic!"

No, my misguided friends, that is not Jameis at all. Jameis recognized that he was wrong to craft his message only from the perspective of the heterosexual male and not the homosexual male as well. That is why in his media conference he admitted he had committed a "selfish act" by not also considering the needs of gay America. That was his way of conceding that even in his noble quest, he is capable of error and should have advocated for oral sex as well.
